Additional initiatives focused on improving travel convenience and safety, including the deployment of tourist police, the launch of a 24/7 tourist assistance center, and transit tour and concierge services for international travelers. The department also introduced programs to develop new tourism segments such as dive, halal, medical, and wellness tourism, alongside workforce training and financial support for tourism workers and enterprises.
In the House of Representatives, Duke Frasco secured his position again as Deputy Speaker during the opening of the 20th Congress. As part of the chamber’s leadership, he assists in presiding over sessions and in managing legislative proceedings and priorities.
Frasco, who represents Cebu’s 5th district, has served in Congress since 2019. Prior to his election to the House, he was mayor of Liloan, Cebu for three terms. He also previously held the Deputy Speaker post during the 19th Congress.
