Jonvic Remulla has appeared in the latest presidential preference survey released in March by Tangere, registering measurable voter support and emerging as a new entrant in the firm’s early polling for the 2028 presidential race.
The March survey showed Remulla recording more than 1% voter preference, allowing him to enter the measurable range of national presidential polling. Early surveys typically show many potential contenders receiving only fractional support.
Remulla’s appearance in the March results follows changes in the list of potential contenders measured by Tangere between its February and March survey rounds.
In the February presidential preference survey, Raffy Tulfo was among the candidates tested by Tangere and registered around 15% voter preference, placing him among the leading names in the early field. However, the March survey reflected Tulfo’s removal from the presidential preference list after the senator announced he would not seek higher office in the 2028 elections.
With Tulfo removed from the lineup, the March survey included several other figures being measured for early voter preference, including Vice President Sara Duterte and former vice president Leni Robredo, alongside other political personalities being tested by the polling firm.
The results show Remulla crossing the 1% threshold, a level that indicates measurable national voter awareness in early-stage surveys.
The development also underscores a gap between political projections and voter response. Martin Romualdez has been mentioned in various reports as a possible contender in the 2028 presidential elections, though these observations are based on comments from other political figures and analysts and do not constitute a formal declaration from Romualdez himself.
Despite the speculation surrounding a potential candidacy, early polling has yet to show Romualdez crossing the 1% threshold in presidential preference surveys, suggesting that political discussions about a possible run have not yet translated into measurable voter support.
Tangere’s presidential preference surveys measure voter sentiment among registered voters nationwide and are often used as early indicators of public awareness and initial political positioning. Analysts note that preferences at this stage remain fluid and may shift as potential candidates clarify their plans ahead of the 2028 election cycle.
