In a bold move that has caught the attention of many, Louie Sangalang, a well-known figure in the Philippine MMA scene, has publicly challenged controversial IRL (In Real Life) streamer Vitaly to an MMA fight following his disruptive and disrespectful behavior during his time in the Philippines.
Vitaly’s Disrespectful Behavior in the Philippines
By now, millions of Filipinos have witnessed Vitaly’s troubling actions in both Boracay and Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
During his time in Boracay, Vitaly was seen repeatedly bullying a local man who was simply doing his job, even attempting to shut down his business.
His actions were widely condemned by Filipinos who felt that Vitaly’s antics were not only disrespectful but also downright harmful to local communities.
In BGC, Vitaly continued his disruptive behavior by harassing ordinary citizens and security guards, all for the sake of increasing his views.
His disregard for Filipino culture, laws, and the well-being of others has led to an outcry across social media, with many calling for consequences to his actions.
Louie Sangalang’s Challenge: A Call for Accountability
In response to Vitaly’s actions, Louie Sangalang took to social media to make a public offer. In a respectful yet firm message, Louie expressed his disgust with Vitaly’s behavior and extended a challenge to the streamer: an MMA fight.
Louie made it clear that the challenge was not about victory but about surviving one round with him.
“I don’t expect you to win,” Louie said. “You just have to survive one round with me.”
Louie, who stands at 5’6″ and is almost 50 years old, is calling out the much younger and physically imposing Vitaly, who is reportedly in his 30s, ripped, and weighs 70 pounds more than him.
Louie’s challenge is straightforward: survive’ five minutes in the ring, and Vitaly will receive $5,000 or P250,000. But if Vitaly backs down, Louie’s question remains: What does that make him?
A Challenge for Honor and Respect
Louie made it clear that his challenge was not only personal but also on behalf of the Filipino people.
“I’m doing this on behalf of all my Filipinos — particularly the ones you’ve disrespected,” Louie said.
He also pointed out that if former UFC champions like Mark Mugen or Brandon Vera made the same offer, it was highly unlikely that Vitaly would accept, due to the sheer disparity in fighting experience and size.
However, Louie emphasized that despite the size difference, the challenge still stands.
“You don’t even have to beat me. Just survive for five minutes, and I’ll hand you the money.”
This statement highlights Louie’s belief that if Vitaly truly has the courage to accept the challenge, he might start to regain some respect, both for himself and for the Philippines.
The Countdown: Will Vitaly Accept?
The clock is ticking as Louie’s offer remains open for just one week. If Vitaly does not respond or backs down, many are questioning what that will mean for his reputation moving forward.
Will he accept the challenge and prove his courage, or will he continue to disregard the people and places he’s offended for the sake of internet fame?
One thing is for certain: Louie Sangalang’s challenge is more than just a fight in the ring — it’s a challenge for respect and accountability.
