Vice President Sara Duterte led the opening of the “EXTRA+Ordinary: The Vice Presidents of the Philippines” pop-up exhibit in Davao City, presenting a public display that highlights the history, service, and legacy of the country’s vice presidents.
The exhibit was launched at Abreeza Ayala Malls and opened to the public as part of the Office of the Vice President’s effort to bring the institution closer to communities outside Metro Manila. The installation features panels and curated displays that narrate the stories of individuals who served as vice president and the contributions they made during their time in office.
Former president and current Pampanga 2nd District Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo joined Duterte during the exhibit visit. Arroyo, who served as vice president from 1998 to 2001 before becoming president, toured the installation highlighting the work and legacy of vice presidents who helped shape the country’s governance landscape.
According to Duterte, the exhibit aims to give life to the legacies of past vice presidents while recognizing the decades of public service rendered by the Office of the Vice President. Through historical narratives, archival materials, and visual presentations, the installation presents the role of the vice presidency in supporting national programs and serving communities across the country.
The Office of the Vice President also expressed appreciation to the management of Abreeza Ayala Malls for providing the venue for the pop-up exhibit. Duterte likewise thanked the personnel of the Office of the Vice President for their dedication and service in organizing the activity.
The pop-up exhibit will remain open to the public for a limited time, allowing visitors to learn more about the history, responsibilities, and contributions of the vice presidency in the Philippines.
