Happiness in the Philippines remains steady, but the data points to a more measured reality. A Social Weather Stations survey shows 33% of Filipinos consider themselves very happy, while 51% say they are fairly satisfied.
The nationwide poll, conducted in late November 2025 among 1,200 adults, reflects consistent trends from recent years. However, the share of very happy Filipinos remains below the 43% recorded in 2023.
The survey shows 50% of Filipinos describe themselves as fairly happy, while 15% are not very happy and 2% are not happy at all. These figures remain close to recent results, with only slight movements across categories. This pattern keeps most Filipinos within moderate levels of happiness.
Across regions, the Visayas records the highest share of very happy respondents at 40%. Mindanao follows at 34%, while Balance Luzon posts 32%. Metro Manila records the lowest at 24%, with higher shares reporting lower happiness levels.
Education and living conditions continue to influence how Filipinos assess their lives. College graduates report the highest happiness at 41%, while those with lower education report lower levels.
At the same time, respondents who did not experience hunger show significantly higher happiness and satisfaction.
Life satisfaction follows a similar distribution nationwide. About 28% say they are very satisfied, while 51% remain fairly satisfied with life. Those who report improved living conditions or expect better outcomes in the next year tend to show higher satisfaction levels.
