President Donald Trump reignited his feud with pop superstar Taylor Swift in a provocative post on X, claiming his criticism has dimmed her fame. “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’”
Trump wrote, fresh off a Middle East diplomatic trip. The comment follows Swift’s 2024 endorsement of Kamala Harris, which sparked Trump’s initial all-caps outburst: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
Swift, 35, has not responded publicly, but sources close to her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, say he’s “fuming” and plans to channel the slight into his next game.
The American Federation of Musicians condemned Trump’s remarks, also defending Bruce Springsteen, another target, calling them an “attack on free speech.”

Data tells a different story about Swift’s star power. Her 2024 Eras Tour was the highest-grossing concert tour ever, boosting her net worth by an estimated $300 million.
On social media, Swift’s 377.3 million followers dwarf Trump’s 120.8 million. However, some Trump supporters on X point to Swift being booed by Eagles fans at the Super Bowl as evidence of waning popularity.
“Classic Trump, telling it like it is,” one X user posted, while Swift’s fans argue her influence remains unmatched.
This isn’t Trump’s first swing at Swift. In 2023, he called her “unusually beautiful” but reversed course after her Harris endorsement, praising Brittany Mahomes, a Trump supporter, instead. Analysts see the feud as a calculated move to rally his base by targeting a liberal icon.
As Trump keeps the spotlight on his unfiltered style, the question remains: Can his words dent Swift’s global dominance, or is this just another headline-grabbing jab? The feud continues to divide fans and fuel debates online.
