Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso announced on his official Facebook page that the city has recovered ₱120,357,295.31 from B. Braun Avitum Philippines, Inc., a major dialysis service provider long partnered with the city’s public health programs.
The turnover was made official through a ceremonial photo at Manila City Hall, where representatives of B. Braun Avitum handed the payment to the mayor and city officials.
The mayor captioned the post with the statement “ATM: another One problem down! Yorme naka singil ng ₱120,357,295.31. Milyon piso from B. Braun Avitum Phil. Inc. Partners of the city of Manila providing Dialysis to Manileños.” The announcement confirms that the city has secured a multimillion-peso collection tied to its ongoing dialysis program.
B. Braun Avitum Philippines, Inc. is one of the country’s largest dialysis providers, and its partnership with the city has been in place for years. The arrangement has undergone public scrutiny in the past, including a formal COA review and several published reports examining earlier billing disputes, joint venture terms, and PhilHealth-related reimbursements dating back to a 2014 contract. Those prior issues centered on unsettled receivables and payment backlogs involving Manila’s dialysis program.
The payment was announced on November 20, 2025 on Mayor Domagoso’s verified Facebook account. Public posts from both the mayor and B. Braun Avitum confirm that the recovery was processed through official channels, tied to previous obligations connected to dialysis services for Manila residents.
The partnership between Manila and B. Braun Avitum continues, and the company remains responsible for providing clinic-based dialysis treatment to city beneficiaries.
