Carmelo Anthony’s son, Kiyan Anthony, just made his dad proud—and probably a little nostalgic—by committing to Syracuse University.

The decision isn’t just a win for the Orange; it’s a full-circle moment for the Anthony family. Nearly two decades ago, Carmelo led Syracuse to an NCAA championship, cementing his place in basketball history. Now, his 17-year-old son is stepping onto the same court, ready to write his own chapter in the family’s legacy.

A Family Legacy Revisited

At just 17, Kiyan is already turning heads as a top-40 recruit. He had other big-name schools chasing him, like Auburn and USC, but Syracuse won out, thanks to Kiyan’s bond with the coaching staff and, let’s face it, some epic family history.

After all, Carmelo didn’t just play for Syracuse—he dominated, leading the team to an NCAA championship in 2003. No pressure, kid!

Kiyan’s Moment to Shine

The Anthony family is all in on Kiyan’s big decision. On Carmelo’s podcast, both Carmelo and La La Anthony beamed with pride, sharing their excitement for Kiyan’s next chapter. Carmelo even joked about passing the torch but made it clear: this is Kiyan’s story to write.

While comparisons to his dad are inevitable, Kiyan seems ready to step out of Carmelo’s shadow. “I’m here to work,” the young star said, proving he’s not just living off the family name. Syracuse fans, get ready—it looks like the Orange family has found their next big star.
