Q.C. District 4 Rep. Bong Suntay to resume construction of long-stalled Carlos L. Albert High School gymnasium

Incoming Quezon City 4th District Representative Bong “Superman” Suntay has committed to finishing the long-delayed multi-purpose building at Carlos L. Albert High School—an infrastructure project initially started under outgoing Congressman Marvin Rillo.

Originally promised as a state-of-the-art gym, the project has remained incomplete for nearly two years, with only the foundation and a few structural components built so far, despite reports of a ₱71 million initial budget.

In a recent inspection, Cong. Bong Suntay expressed his intention to move the project forward—but with practicality and transparency at its core.

Suntay emphasized that his office is now working closely with the District Engineering Office to assess the current status and realign the project with the needs of the school and the community.

As Suntay officially assumes office on June 30, his team will announce further updates, including budget realignments and timelines. He assured the public that the project will not be shelved, but will instead be continued in a manner that is both responsible and responsive to the community’s needs.
