PGMN Lead Anchor CJ Hirro has again officially been nominated for Best Investigative Journalism Program, this time at the Stardom 2026 Awards of St. Dominic College of Asia.
The nomination forms part of the institution’s 6th Research, Extension and Linkages Week, scheduled on March 12, 2026 at the DRA Hall in Bacoor City, Cavite. In a formal letter dated February 24, 2026, the college recognized Hirro’s independent investigative reporting under Peanut Gallery Media Network, citing its research based framework and measurable public impact. The other nominees include Atom Araullo and Jessica Soho.
The nomination follows Hirro’s win at the 3rd Asian Pillars Awards in September 2025, where she was named Asian Pillar of Integrity and Analytical Brilliance in Broadcast Journalism for her unprecedented work as a PGMN anchor.
The recognition comes as other PGMN anchors continue to record measurable impact beyond commentary.
This year alone:
James Deakin’s fight versus the Land Transportation Office drew national headlines and led to regulatory review after the Anti-Red Tape Authority ruled in favor of his son’s case. The outcome ended nationwide driver’s license confiscation and prompted revised traffic settlement guidelines.
Atty. Rowena Guanzon’s legal scholarship reached international archives when her book The Anti Sexual Harassment Act Notes and Cases was formally cataloged by the US Library of Congress, placing her among a rare group of Filipino authors recognized in the American national repository for women’s rights law.
Tech Anchor Ann Cuisia intensified national debate on artificial intelligence regulation during the controversy surrounding Elon Musk’s Grok AI platform. Her reporting highlighted the regulatory conditions tied to its restriction and restoration and successfully pressured the Department of Information and Communications Technology to reinstate Grok nationwide, shifting discussions toward targeted safeguards rather than blanket bans.
Orion Perez’s long standing advocacy for parliamentary reform gained wider visibility after former Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonio Carpio finally changed his mind on the issue and echoed similar structural arguments during congressional hearings, expanding the constitutional reform discussion to a broader legislative audience.
Hazel Calawod, a two-time Olympic gold medal coach, has been invited to the Palais Princier de Monaco for the World Gymnastics Measures for Aging Society initiative, scheduled for presentation before Prince Albert II on March 18, 2026. Calawod was selected to meet the Prince for her expertise in movement science and biomechanics—work that heavily contributed to Filipino Olympian Carlos Yulo’s victories.
And it’s just February.
PGMN now has over one million combined followers across all platforms and will hit one billion lifetime views in the next two months after being in operation for less than a year and a half.
