Delta Air Lines has teamed up with Shake Shack to bring their iconic cheeseburgers to the skies starting December 1, 2024. And honestly, who wouldn’t want to handle a little turbulence with a side of ShackSauce?

Flying first class out of Boston just got a whole lot tastier.

Delta Air Lines has teamed up with Shake Shack to serve their iconic cheeseburgers to first-class passengers on long-distance domestic flights starting December 1, 2024. Exclusive to Boston departures (for now), this mouthwatering upgrade is here to elevate your in-air experience—because nothing says comfort like a burger with ShackSauce at 30,000 feet.

Burgers at 30,000 Feet

In a “first-of-its-kind partnership,” Delta’s first-class passengers on long-haul domestic flights from Boston will now enjoy Shake Shack’s legendary cheeseburger. But it’s not just any burger—it’s customizable. Want lettuce? Tomato? A drizzle of ShackSauce? No problem, but don’t expect your toppings to stay put during takeoff.

Each meal also comes with a Caesar salad (for the illusion of health) and a dark chocolate brownie inspired by Shake Shack’s desserts. So, if the in-flight movie’s a flop, at least your taste buds will have an Oscar-worthy performance.

From Runways to Burgers

This isn’t Delta’s first rodeo with Shake Shack founder Danny Meyer. Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group previously crafted meals for the airline, but this time, they’re leaning fully into comfort food. Michael Kark, Shake Shack’s president, called it “taking our beloved cheeseburger to new heights.” Pun fully intended, we’re sure.

Delta plans to roll this out to more cities next year, which means soon enough, turbulence and cheeseburgers might be a match made in in-flight heaven. Until then, Boston first-class passengers, get ready for a truly groundbreaking in-air dining experience—just hold onto your ShackSauce during the turbulence.

Safe skies and happy munching!

Mark your calendars. Starting December 1st, we’re teaming up with @shakeshack to elevate your onboard experience. First stop: Select First Class flights out of Boston 👀

What are you excited to try first?
