President-elect Donald Trump isn’t wasting any time shaking things up in Washington.

The goal? To bring Silicon Valley’s “move fast and break things” mantra to the federal government and eliminate what Trump calls the “deep state” bureaucracy.
The Masters of Efficiency
Musk and Ramaswamy aren’t your typical government officials.
Musk, known for his ventures with Tesla, SpaceX, and now X (formerly Twitter), will continue running his companies while taking on this new “informal” role.
Meanwhile, Ramaswamy, the biotech entrepreneur turned political player, has dropped his Senate run in Ohio to fully focus on bringing “efficiency” to D.C.
Their game plan involves gutting outdated regulations, cutting through the red tape, and restructuring federal agencies for a leaner operation.
With a target date set for July 4, 2026—coinciding with America’s 250th birthday—DOGE aims to give the federal government a makeover that might even make Wall Street blush.
Transparency or Showmanship?
In true Musk fashion, transparency is part of the package. Musk has vowed to share their actions online, broadcasting every step of their mission to “reduce wasteful spending.”
Critics argue this could be a flashy move aimed at boosting Musk’s companies and influence, as DOGE’s success could benefit his ventures.
Supporters, however, see this as a genuine step towards dismantling bureaucratic hurdles.
