Filipino-American superstar Bruno Mars has confirmed that his long-awaited new solo album is finished, marking his return to full-length solo releases after nearly a decade.
Mars announced that the album is complete and revealed that the record is titled The Romantic. The album is scheduled for release on February 27, 2026, and will be preceded by a new single.
The project will be Mars’ first solo studio album since 24K Magic, which became one of the most successful pop records of its era. The album sold more than five million copies worldwide and earned multiple platinum certifications across major markets. It also dominated the Grammy Awards, winning Album of the Year, Best R&B Album, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.
While Mars stepped away from solo albums, he remained a constant presence on global charts through high-profile collaborations. His duet with Lady Gaga, “Die With a Smile,” reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and became the fastest song to hit one billion streams on Spotify. The track later won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
He also teamed up with ROSÉ for “APT.,” which surpassed one billion streams and earned major Grammy nominations, including Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
With The Romantic officially completed and its release set for February 27, 2026, anticipation is building for Bruno Mars’ first solo album in almost ten years, following a period defined by record-breaking collaborations and sustained global success.
