Gary Valenciano has formally launched a new podcast titled “Unshaken: Stories of Grit and Grace,” marking his entry into long-form digital storytelling after decades in music and television. The project was introduced following a media conference and positions Valenciano in a different role — not on stage, but in conversation.
In interviews surrounding the launch, Valenciano reflected on a personal shift in how he communicates faith and conviction.
He shared that there was a time when his understanding came across harsher, recalling a period when he would bluntly tell people, “you will go to hell.” Over the years, he said, he learned that truth does not need to be delivered in a way that adds pain.
“It took me time to learn that the truth, even if it hurts, you don’t have to make it hurt more. It hurts enough already,” he said.
He described the podcast as a platform for stories rather than sermons. “Unshaken” will feature one-on-one conversations with guests across different industries, focusing on moments of loss, rebuilding, rediscovery, mental health, leadership, faith, and resilience. Valenciano positioned himself not only as host but as listener, learning alongside his audience.
The series is set to premiere weekly in April across major streaming platforms. The launch also coincides with the 40th anniversary of his longtime management home, Manila Genesis, a milestone he acknowledged as part of a continuing journey rather than a closing chapter.
Through “Unshaken,” Valenciano signals a shift in medium while maintaining the themes that have defined his career. This time, the focus is dialogue, vulnerability, and lived experience shared in conversation.
