Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso led President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on a walkthrough of the Bagong Ospital ng Maynila, a 10-storey city hospital built during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The visit covered hospital wards, diagnostic and imaging facilities, and specialized medical units. The hospital has in-house CT scan and MRI machines and operates a Catheterization Laboratory under its Radiology Department.
The Bagong Ospital ng Maynila was constructed as part of the Manila city government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic to expand hospital capacity. It is currently operating as a general hospital serving Manila residents.
In a Facebook post, Moreno addressed the President during the visit, saying, “Mr. President, we assure you that, in our own way and with the resources we have, we will continue to align ourselves with your national goal of providing quality healthcare for our people.”
