Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have officially confirmed their relationship after months of speculation. The pop star and the former Canadian Prime Minister were seen together in Paris over the weekend, marking their first public appearance as a couple.
The pair were spotted hand in hand at the Crazy Horse cabaret club, where Perry celebrated her birthday in a red dress while Trudeau wore a black suit. A video captured the two sharing a quiet moment as Perry accepted a rose and Trudeau placed his hand on her back before leaving in an SUV. Their Paris outing follows weeks of rumors that began in late July after they were seen dining together in Montreal.
Perry recently ended her engagement with actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares a daughter. The breakup drew heavy media attention at the time. Trudeau, meanwhile, announced his separation from wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. Their divorce remains pending. Trudeau resigned as Prime Minister in January after nearly a decade in office.
Public sightings of the two have fueled growing interest in their relationship. Earlier this month, paparazzi captured them on Perry’s yacht in Santa Barbara. Trudeau was also seen attending Perry’s Montreal tour stop in July, adding fuel to the speculation that has now been confirmed by their Paris debut.
Neither has offered a formal statement about the relationship, though Perry made a playful onstage reference to Trudeau during a recent concert in London. For now, Perry continues her European “Lifetimes” tour, while Trudeau has maintained a low political profile since stepping down.
