The podcast explores the lived experiences of Filipino fathers, featuring honest conversations about parenting, identity, and the cultural expectations placed on men in the family.

The premiere episode, released on Father’s Day 2025, sets the tone for the series with personal reflections from the hosts. Zamora recounted how he created a Facebook support group for Filipino dads in 2017 after struggling to find local communities geared toward fathers.

The group quickly grew, highlighting a gap in available spaces where men could speak openly about their roles at home.

One segment revisited a conversation Zamora had with broadcaster Kim Atienza shortly after the birth of his first child. Atienza remarked that fatherhood marks a turning point in life—defining everything that comes after. Zamora described it as a moment of clarity, underscoring the gravity of becoming a parent.

Deakin shared his own experience of facing eviction while raising a young family on limited income. He described working multiple roles—from radio host to production manager—to make ends meet. He called it the moment he fully realized that fatherhood allows no pause or retreat.

The episode also included lighter, more personal moments. Deakin recalled preparing to confront his daughter’s first boyfriend, only to be caught off guard when the young man—an Australian football player—turned out to be respectful, well-spoken, and surprisingly aligned with Deakin’s own interests.

Fernandez shared a similar experience, saying he was relieved to find that his daughter’s boyfriend was kind, respectful, and genuinely passionate about cars and motorcycles.

The hosts also addressed the widely discussed conflict between actor Dennis Padilla and his children. Without focusing on personalities, the discussion examined whether respect for parents should be unconditional and how strained relationships can challenge traditional expectations.

They emphasized the importance of accountability and the need to define healthy boundaries within families. The Legendaddy Podcast is now available to watch on Peanut Gallery Media Network’s official channels.
