Finally I get to write about the cage. This is Philippine pride and American arrogance with a story so wild it’d make Tarantino blush.

Joshua Pacio, the Filipino MMA beast from Baguio, strolls into Qatar like he’s auditioning for The Expendables and proceeds to mop the floor with Jarred Brooks, that loudmouth interim champ who talks more trash than a dumpster-diving raccoon.

This ain’t just a fight; it’s a conservative wet dream where the little guy from the barrios smashes the cocky Yank in a second-round TKO that left Brooks looking like he got hit by one of Chavit Singson’s electronic jeepneys.

Round One Drama: Brooks’ Failed Guillotine and Pacio’s Resilience

Now, Brooks, bless his overinflated ego, thought he’d waltz into ONE 171 and break Pinoy hearts again, like their president, yes I went there. Guy’s been yapping since 2021 about how he’s the “Monkey God,” but Pacio turned him into a punching bag faster than you can say Pacquiao.

First round? Brooks tried his wrestling schtick, locking Pacio in a guillotine choke like he’s auditioning for a slot to be a Paul Heyman guy. But Pacio? He’s got that island grit, slipped out, flipped the script, and by round two, he was raining elbows and hammer fists like it’s The Passion of the Christ meets Mortal Kombat.

Brooks turtled up, crying for mercy, and the ref waved it off at 4:22. Cue the $50,000 bonus and a mic drop: “Never doubt the God I serve,” Pacio roared, flexing his faith and his fists.

Let’s be real, Brooks had it coming. This is the dude who lost the title last year via DQ for slamming Pacio’s head like a drunk Jacob Fatu, and now he’s 0-2 against the Filipino king.

Meanwhile, Pacio’s out here proving the Philippines ain’t just adobo and karaoke, it’s a breeding ground for warriors who’d make Dana White weep. Brooks can take his interim belt and shove it where the sun don’t shine,Pacio’s the undisputed strawweight champ, and the world knows it.
