Four anchors from Peanut Gallery Media Network were featured alongside other known Filipinas in a Metro.Style piece that gathered women from different industries to share what empowers them.
PGMN anchors Atty. Bernice Piñol-Rodriguez (Hey Attorney), Antonette Aquino, Ann Cuisia, and Hazel Calawod were among the 12 women included in the March 27 feature. The list also included personalities from business, entertainment, and advocacy, placing the four anchors within a broader group of recognized figures across sectors.
The piece compiled individual perspectives from each participant, focusing on how they define empowerment through their work and lived experiences.
Antonette Aquino described empowerment as the ability to create impact while carrying both strength and empathy, particularly in guiding decisions that affect people and families. Ann Cuisia highlighted leadership grounded in conviction and responsibility, pointing to the importance of using one’s voice to challenge systems and stand firm in spaces where credibility is not readily given.
Atty. Bernice Piñol-Rodriguez pointed to the balance between strength and softness, while Lyn Hazel Calawod described empowerment as rooted in resilience, purpose, and managing multiple roles across healthcare, advocacy, and media.
The feature brings together perspectives from Filipinas across sectors, presenting how empowerment is defined through personal experience, leadership, and professional work.
