Billionaire Elon Musk has signaled that he is going all in on financing Republican candidates ahead of the 2026 United States midterm elections, expressing strong opposition to what he describes as radical left policies.
Musk made his position public in a post on his social media platform, X, where he responded to claims that he was committing major financial backing to Republican campaigns for the upcoming election cycle. In his post, Musk wrote:
“America is toast if the radical left wins. They will open the floodgates to illegal immigration and fraud — and it won’t be America anymore.”
Musk has recently begun providing financial support to Republican campaigns for the 2026 election cycle and has signaled that additional contributions may follow as the cycle progresses. The exact amounts and recipient campaigns will be disclosed once official campaign finance reports are released.
Campaign finance records from previous election cycles show that Musk was among the largest Republican donors in 2024, contributing more than $290 million to GOP candidates and political groups.
