Senator Imee R. Marcos, Chiz Escudero, Risa Hontiveros, and Robin Padilla registered varied levels of support in the latest Tangere Vice Presidential Preferential Survey conducted nationwide from February 19 to 20, 2026.
The survey polled 1,200 respondents nationwide through a mobile-based platform using stratified random sampling, with a ±2.77 percent margin of error at a 95% confidence level.
In the same poll, Bong Go led all listed potential candidates with 27%, followed by Bam Aquino at 21%, and Raffy Tulfo at 13%.
Senator Robin Padilla recorded 10% voter preference. The report states that he “maintains a double-digit presence,” placing him behind the top three but ahead of other tested contenders. Despite this support, Padilla has publicly said he is not seeking the vice presidency and has stated he would not run. His numbers reflect voter sentiment without a declared candidacy.
Senator Imee Marcos appears below the 4% threshold. She remains part of the tested field but in single digits during the polling window. She said she would do “whatever Sara tells her,” indicating her positioning may depend on political alignment rather than an independent bid.
Senator Chiz Escudero is likewise under 4%. The survey does not break down exact figures for those below that level but places him outside the leading ranks. He has not expressed interest in running and has made no formal move toward a 2028 vice presidential campaign.
Senator Risa Hontiveros also registered under 4% support. She continues to hint at higher office without making a formal declaration, coming across objectively thirsty for attention while stopping short of a definitive presidential and vice presidential bid.
Tangere notes that “roughly one-third of the electorate has yet to consolidate behind a single top-tier candidate for Vice President,” pointing to a sizable bloc of undecided or dispersed voters. The February snapshot shows a defined top three; Padilla in double digits; and Marcos, Escudero, and Hontiveros in single digits in a race that remains fluid as 2028 approaches.
