In the competitive world of aviation, Ryna Brito-Garcia stands out as a beacon of determination and innovation.

At just 30 years old, she has already carved her place as the first and only female CEO of a Filipino airline—Sunlight Air.

In an industry traditionally dominated by men, Ryna’s journey proves that age, gender, or the size of your company should never be barriers to success.

Breaking Barriers in Aviation

Ryna’s story is a blend of vision, hard work, and overcoming personal and professional challenges.

After earning a degree in Business Administration and gaining experience in sales, marketing, and hospitality, she co-founded Sunlight Air in 2019 with a mission to bridge the gap in transportation to the beautiful and often overlooked destinations in the Philippines.

What started as a small venture with just herself and two employees has now grown into a successful airline that serves some of the country’s most sought-after islands like Coron, Siargao, and Puerto Princesa.

Her leadership has been instrumental in not only making Sunlight Air a household name but also creating a unique customer experience.

Sunlight Air’s “Passenger Perks,” offering exclusive discounts with their boarding passes, stands as one of her proudest achievements, showing how Ryna’s innovative mindset thrives in every part of the business.

Rising to the Top in a Male-Dominated Industry

Entering aviation as a young woman in a predominantly male industry was no easy feat for Ryna. Initially plagued by insecurities, she fought to gain the respect of her peers.

But instead of being discouraged, she turned these challenges into strengths, using her natural empathy and collaborative spirit to build a solid team of industry experts.

“I don’t think being a woman makes it harder for me,” Ryna shares. “I think it puts the company in a unique place in the industry.”

Now, as the CEO of Sunlight Air, she leads with vision and resilience, focusing on growth and innovative service.

Under her leadership, Sunlight Air has expanded its fleet and reached new destinations, becoming a key player in Philippine tourism.

Looking to the Future: Expanding and Inspiring

Ryna’s passion for her company and her commitment to making Sunlight Air a premier domestic airline continues to drive her to greater heights.

As she looks to expand the fleet and explore international opportunities, Ryna’s story is far from over.

She remains an inspiration to young women everywhere, proving that with passion, hard work, and a forward-thinking attitude, you can redefine the rules of any industry.

“Six years into this business, being a young woman in aviation doesn’t faze me at all anymore,” Ryna says with confidence. With her empowering leadership and vision, the sky is truly the limit for Ryna Brito-Garcia and Sunlight Air.

Eve.Ry Femme: Empowering Women Through Tailored Elegance

In addition to leading Sunlight Air, has ventured into the fashion industry with her brand, Eve•Ry Femme. The brand was inspired by Ryna’s experiences in a male-dominated field, aiming to empower women through bespoke tailored wear and ready-to-wear collections.

After being inspired during a trip to Seoul, Ryna recognized a gap in the market and pursued training in sewing and pattern-making to bring her vision to life.

Eve•Ry Femme focuses on high-quality craftsmanship and sustainable, timeless designs that emphasize individuality and confidence.

The brand’s philosophy of slow fashion promotes lasting pieces that cater to the modern woman’s body and lifestyle, offering both bespoke suits and RTW collections that exude elegance, strength, and sophistication.
