Former Congressman Sam Verzosa confirmed that his relationship with Rhian Ramos has ended, putting to rest speculation surrounding their breakup while addressing questions about a possible third party.
Verzosa said the separation is real and that the relationship lasted four and a half years. He stressed that what they had was genuine and should be respected. “Relationships are private and gusto ko sana to keep it to ourselves, but I just want to say that what me and Rhian had was real and I respect that and that was four and a half years of our lives,” he said.
He also made it clear that there was no confirmed third party involved, including rumors linking Wil Dasovich to the breakup. Verzosa said he does not personally know Dasovich and expressed no ill will. “Yeah and I don’t know him personally, really I don’t know him but I wish him well,” he said.
The businessman added that relationships can change over time, saying growth in different directions played a role. “I respect Rhian, I respect her family, but sometimes I think people just grow in different things, grow in different directions and that was happened.”
Verzosa said the priority now is moving forward with respect and dignity. He also reflected on personal growth following the relationship. “Sobrang dami, nag-mature ako, I’ve learned a lot of myself, about relationships, about partnerships, about respect, trust and self-worth.”
Despite being single, Verzosa said he is focused on his goals and not rushing into a new relationship. He emphasized staying grounded in purpose after the breakup. “I’m back to my mission and that’s the important thing to any individual to fulfill his mission and purpose in his life.”
He closed by underscoring how relationships should be handled even after they end. “When you truly love someone you don’t try to destroy them when the relationship ends. If anything… you protect them.”
