Tangere’s latest 2028 presidential survey, conducted after Sara Duterte’s announcement, presents a scenario showing that 20% of Leni Robredo’s supporters would reconsider their vote if she accepts an endorsement from President Bongbong Marcos. The survey noted that this group places value on her independence from the current administration.
Despite the potential loss of part of her base, the endorsement scenario also draws new voters, primarily from Senator Raffy Tulfo’s supporters. The shift results in a net three-point increase in Robredo’s overall preference rating, from 27% to 30%, if Marcos endorses Robredo.
The nationwide survey was conducted from February 19 to 20, 2026 through a mobile-based respondent application with 1,200 participants and a ±2.77% margin of error at a 95% confidence level.
Tangere is the first polling company to issue its results since Duterte’s blockbuster announcement two days ago. Duterte, according to Tangere, leads all candidates with 43% of the vote, followed by Leni at 27%, Senator Raffy at 15%, and Risa Hontiveros at 3%.
