Vice President Sara Duterte secured 43% voter preference in the latest Tangere survey conducted February 19–20, 2026, following her February 18 announcement to seek the presidency.
The survey places Duterte 16 percentage points ahead of Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo, who garnered 27%. Senator Raffy Tulfo ranked third with 15%, while Senator Risa Hontiveros received 3%. Twelve percent of respondents said they remain undecided.
The results show a regional divide in voter sentiment. Duterte leads in the Visayas and Mindanao. Robredo’s support is anchored in Calabarzon and the Bicol Region. Tulfo commands the National Capital Region and Central Luzon. Northern Luzon is identified as a key battleground, with voters split between Duterte and Tulfo.
The survey also shows that 22% of Duterte’s primary voters identified Robredo as their second choice, while another 22% selected Tulfo as their alternative. The remaining 56% said they would either choose another candidate or would not vote if Duterte were not in the race.
Among respondents aware of the candidates, Duterte recorded 49% approval and 54% trust. Robredo posted 56% approval and 59% trust, while Tulfo registered 56% approval and 57% trust. Hontiveros received 47% approval and 48% trust.
The non-commissioned survey sampled 1,200 respondents nationwide and carries a ±2.77% margin of error at a 95% confidence level.
