The Police Regional Office 3 arrested all individuals listed in its February top 10 regional most wanted persons list in a coordinated three-day operation conducted from February 1 to 3 across Central Luzon.
Regional police officials said the arrests were carried out through synchronized operations involving intelligence units, tracker teams, and cyber patrollers deployed in multiple provinces.
In a statement released Wednesday, PRO-3 said real-time validation of information and close coordination among operating units allowed police teams to track the movements of the wanted persons and carry out targeted arrests.
PRO-3 director Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. said the outcome reflected the effectiveness of intelligence-driven policing and disciplined coordination among field units.
“This achievement reflects the effectiveness of intelligence-driven policing and the professionalism of our personnel. This is not by chance—it is the result of thorough intelligence work, proper coordination, and responsible use of technology,” Peñones said.
He said cyber patrollers played a critical role in locating the fugitives, noting that many wanted individuals now rely on digital platforms to evade arrest.
“As criminals evolve, so must the police. Our cyber patrollers and intelligence units are proving that the law can keep pace with technology,” he added.
Police said the swift arrests demonstrated the capacity of regional units to locate and apprehend individuals formally listed as most wanted within a short period of time. As of this writing, other high-profile figures who have been publicly discussed in connection with criminal allegations, including Rep. Zaldy Co and Atong Ang, remain outside police custody.
PRO-3 said its intensified operations against wanted persons will continue in the coming weeks.
