Vice President Sara Duterte, Senate President Vicente Tito Sotto, and House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III all registered increases in both trust and approval ratings in the latest Tangere survey conducted nationwide from February 19 to 20, 2026.
The survey covered 1,200 respondents across the Philippines through a mobile based application, using stratified random sampling to ensure regional representation across the country. It has a plus or minus 2.77 percent margin of error at a 95 percent confidence level. Ratings were computed among respondents who are aware of the officials, with geographic distribution spanning the National Capital Region, Northern Luzon, Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
Sara Duterte posted the strongest numbers among the three officials measured. She recorded a trust rating of 55.1 percent in February, up from 54.5 percent in January.
Her approval rating stood at 48.3 percent, nearly steady from 48.5 percent the previous month. With awareness at 99.6 percent, Duterte continues to command majority trust among respondents who know her, maintaining the highest trust level among the three included in the survey. The results came days after she formally announced her candidacy for president in the 2028 elections, entering the next national race with trust ratings that remain above the majority threshold.
Vicente Sotto III registered one of the most notable month to month gains. His trust rating rose to 44.4 percent from 39.5 percent in January, reflecting a 4.9 point increase. His approval rating climbed to 43.3 percent from 37.8 percent, marking a 5.5 point gain. With awareness at 99.4 percent, Sotto’s February figures indicate strengthening evaluations in both trust and approval among aware respondents.
Faustino ‘Boije’ Dy also recorded measurable improvements. His trust rating increased to 31.7 percent from 28.5 percent in January, while his approval rating rose to 29.9 percent from 26.2 percent. Dy’s awareness level stands at 89.9 percent. The February data reflects consistent growth in both indicators compared to the previous month.
The February results show all three officials improving in both trust and approval compared to January. With nationwide representation, the survey reflects measurable month to month gains among aware respondents.
