PGMN Lead Anchor CJ Hirro urged the family of a beauty queen rescued in an NBI anti-trafficking operation to sue columnist and supporter of the universally hated former House Speaker Martin Romualdez, Ramon Tulfo, after he falsely identified her as the person arrested for human trafficking, named her and published her face before verifying the story.
Tulfo initially reported that the woman had been arrested by the NBI for allegedly offering Russian women to clients. The NBI said the Filipina and five Russian women were rescued in Makati, while a 42-year-old man was arrested and expected to face qualified human trafficking charges.
“Napaka-iresponsable at arogante mo kasi. Nilabas mo pa ang buong mukha at ipinahiya sa lahat. To you it’s just a scoop, pero ano ang epekto nito sa buhay ng biktima mo?” Hirro wrote.
She urged the family to pursue Tulfo and the source he claimed was inside the NBI.
“Idemanda ka sana ng pamilya. Idamay na din ang tweety bird mo sa NBI na nag-leak sa’yo. Magsama kayo sa kulungan.”
Tulfo later acknowledged that his source gave him incorrect information and corrected the post, but only after the woman’s name and face had been publicly tied to a crime she was never arrested for. His claim that his “tweety bird” obtained the photograph from the NBI raises questions over how information involving a rescued trafficking victim reached him.
PGMN has attempted to remain courageous and defiant in the face of the over 80 counts/lawsuits Romualdez has filed, fully aware that the whole thing is the former Speaker’s desperate attempt to silence the organization as he currently finds himself in the most vulnerable position of his life. Since declaring war against Romualdez two months ago, PGMN has published over 1,300 posts about Romualdez—honestly and brutally exposing him precisely for what he is: the most corrupt Filipino politician of the 21st century.
The barrage has since generated approximately 160 million views across all platforms and is now the most viral anti-corruption campaign against a single person in the history of Philippine social media.
