A 23-year-old Filipino student who was just one week away from graduating magna cum laude left behind a final message that his family says reflected the faith he carried throughout his life.
Jonathan Sia, a student from the Philippines, was battling a severe kidney disorder while confined in a hospital when he wrote what would become his last known words. Too weak to speak clearly, he asked for a pen and paper and, despite his condition, wrote three simple words that would later be remembered by his loved ones.
“Jesus is real.”
