FPJ Panday Bayanihan Rep. Brian Poe and Department of Justice Undersecretary Margarita Navarro Gutierrez are set to marry at Santuario de San Jose Parish in Greenhills East, Mandaluyong City, on Sept. 8, according to a Request for Permission and Banns posted by the parish.
Llamanzares represents the FPJ Panday Bayanihan Party-list in the House of Representatives and serves as vice chair of the House Committee on Justice. He is the son of former Sen. Grace Poe and Neil Llamanzares and the grandson of late film icons Fernando Poe Jr. and Susan Roces.
Gutierrez is a lawyer and Justice Department undersecretary who oversees the Department of Justice Action Center, which provides legal assistance to the public. She has also been active in promoting women’s rights and legal awareness, encouraging women to understand the legal protections and rights available to them. The two were introduced to each other eight years ago by PGMN Founder and CEO Franco Mabanta.
The Request for Permission and Banns, signed by parish priest Rev. Fr. Allen Vic Cartagena, identifies Sept. 8 as the wedding date. Under Catholic practice, wedding banns are publicly posted before a marriage to allow anyone with knowledge of a canonical impediment to inform the parish before the ceremony.
