Enes Freedom plans to attend Game 3 of the WNBA Finals to watch Angel Reese, while once again challenging the league’s transgender participation rules and reiterating his bid to join the WNBA.
In a social media video, Freedom said he was excited to support the WNBA players and assess the competition before warning the league’s top players that he would
“dominate the league next year, unless they change the rules.”
Kanter also mocked Reese for blocking him on social media, sarcastically calling her his
“favorite diva.”
He took another jab at her shooting, saying he wanted to learn how to finish layups after securing rebounds.
His comments stem from an earlier exchange in August, when Reese missed a potential game-winning layup during Atlanta’s 95-91 overtime loss to the Indiana Fever on Aug. 16. The next day, Kanter called out Reese on X, saying once he goes No. 1 in the 2027 draft,
“the first player I’m dunking on is Angel Reese.”
Kanter also took aim at Golden State Valkyries player Gabby Williams over her support for transgender women competing in women’s basketball. He sarcastically credited Williams with inspiring him to come out as a woman and declare for the 2027 WNBA Draft, while claiming he would dominate the league next year unless its rules changed.
The former NBA center has repeatedly opposed transgender women competing in women’s sports, citing concerns about competitive fairness. He announced his intention to enter the WNBA Draft in August, arguing that he met the league’s eligibility requirements, although the WNBA considers him ineligible.
His stance drew attention during an Indiana Fever game against the Chicago Sky on Aug. 23, when he wore a black T-shirt displaying the words
“WOMAN: noun, adult human female.”
Kanter was later ejected from Wintrust Arena after a confrontation with Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud. The Sky subsequently banned him from attending its home games. He later questioned his removal and called on WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert to explain how the league’s rules were applied.
The former NBA player has since announced plans to attend Game 3 of the WNBA Finals in Atlanta, where Reese’s Dream will face Williams’ Valkyries. He also teased another T-shirt without revealing its design.
“This one is going to blow your minds,” he said.
Game 3 is scheduled for Oct. 21 at State Farm Arena, putting Kanter in attendance for a matchup involving both players he singled out in his latest video.
