Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso announced the Manila Summer Pride Parade 2026, set for Saturday, April 25, with assembly at 4:00 PM along South Road in Ermita. The parade will move through Quirino Grandstand and culminate at Remedios Circle, placing one of the city’s busiest corridors at the center of a large-scale public gathering expected to draw members of the LGBTQIA+ community, allies, families, and residents from across Manila.
Domagoso framed the event as a direct show of support, highlighting the community’s presence in shaping Manila’s cultural and social identity, particularly in areas like Malate known for their creative and nightlife scenes.
Domagoso has consistently supported Pride activities in Manila, beginning with the city’s first government-led celebration in 2020. The Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila said the event aligns with local policies on inclusivity and reinforces anti-discrimination ordinances that protect residents regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.
The mayor underscored the intent of the event, calling it “a declaration that Manila stands for dignity, equality, and safe spaces for all,” as the city prepares for a program that includes floats, performances, drag showcases, and broad community participation. Organizers expect strong turnout, with activities designed to highlight visibility and representation in the capital.
Domagoso extended a direct invitation to the public, saying, “Welcome po kayong lahat sa Maynila,” as city officials advised attendees to follow official updates for route details, crowd management measures, and event guidelines ahead of Saturday’s parade.
