As her Senate impeachment trial got underway, Vice President Sara Duterte’s net satisfaction rating rose two points to +31 in June 2026, driven by gains in Balance Luzon and Mindanao, according to the latest Social Weather Stations national survey.
The second-quarter poll, conducted from June 20 to 29, showed Duterte’s net satisfaction score improving from a moderate +29 in March to +31 in June. Under the SWS grading system, her overall rating remained in the good category.
The survey was conducted before Duterte’s Senate impeachment trial opened on July 6. SWS released the results on July 16, while the proceedings were already underway.
The nationwide movement was relatively small. SWS reported sampling error margins of ±3 percentage points for national percentages and ±6 percentage points for each regional area.
Balance Luzon posted the biggest regional gain, with Duterte’s net satisfaction rating rising five points from a neutral +5 in March to a moderate +10 in June. Her rating in Mindanao also climbed two points, from an excellent +82 to an excellent +84, remaining her strongest regional score.
Her net satisfaction rating in the Visayas stayed at a good +36, while her support in Metro Manila declined.
In the capital, Duterte’s rating slipped two points from a neutral +5 in March to a neutral +3 in June.
SWS also recorded differing trends between urban and rural respondents. Duterte’s net satisfaction among urban residents rose four points from a moderate +23 to a moderate +27, while her rating among rural respondents remained unchanged at a good +36.
The June survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adults nationwide, including 300 respondents each from Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.
