A 14-year-old Grade 10 student was found unresponsive inside her home in Barangay Subic, Baliwag City, early Monday, while a male school teacher was taken into police custody after being found inside the victim’s bedroom.
According to reports received by Central Luzon Police Director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, the victim’s mother entered her daughter’s bedroom at around 3:30 a.m. along Calderon Street and found the teenager with a serious injury to her neck.
Authorities identified the teacher only by the alias “Dax.” He was reportedly inside the victim’s bedroom when the mother entered. The mother and the teacher rushed the teenager to Castro Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Police immediately took the teacher into custody for investigation. Initial findings indicate that he had been staying at the victim’s residence, although investigators have yet to determine whether he was renting a room in the house or was related to the victim’s family.
The Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit has been requested to assist in processing the scene as investigators work to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive, and the investigation remains ongoing.
