Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo is being transferred to the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City this week after the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory received the formal commitment order for her transfer.
BJMP spokesperson Jail Superintendent Jayrex Bustinera confirmed the order’s arrival on Tuesday and said, “Commitment order for the transfer of Alice Guo to CIW received by Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory on December 2, 2025. We will transfer within the week.”
Guo’s transfer follows a Pasig City court’s decision ordering her detention at the CIW after her conviction for qualified human trafficking. The Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 167 sentenced her to life imprisonment. Her camp sought permission for her to remain at the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory, but the motion did not stop the transfer process from moving forward.
The Bureau of Corrections said it is fully prepared to receive Guo. BuCor Director General Gregorio Catapang Jr. assured that security at the CIW is being tightened ahead of her arrival.
According to the BuCor, Guo will undergo several intake stages. “The initial phase includes the verification of her documents and belongings before she is quarantined in the RDC for five days during which a thorough medical examination will be undertaken,” the bureau said. She will then be moved to the RDC regular dormitory for orientation, diagnostics, and qualification. After completing all requirements, she will be transferred to a regular dormitory inside the Maximum Security Camp.
Guo and several others were charged with violating the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, as amended by the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Acts of 2012 and 2022.
