Kiefer Indiongco, widely known as Kiefsix, is redefining the intersection of basketball, streetwear, and visual art. A creative force hailing from Manila, Philippines, he has carved a space in the industry by blending high-energy basketball aesthetics with cutting-edge design.
His work isn’t just about illustrating the game—it’s about transforming its essence into bold, dynamic storytelling on canvas, sneakers, and apparel.
A Unique Artistic Vision
Kiefsix’s artistic signature is unmistakable—a fusion of movement, emotion, and culture, brought to life through striking colors and expressive lines. His illustrations encapsulate the raw energy of basketball, turning fast breaks, dunks, and crossovers into visual poetry.
His ability to distill the spirit of the sport into fine art has positioned him as a trailblazer in contemporary illustration.
For Kiefsix, basketball isn’t just a subject—it’s a language. His pieces aren’t static; they move with the same rhythm and intensity as a real game. Every stroke reflects the explosive power, finesse, and culture that define the sport.
Whether on murals, apparel, or digital canvases, his work bridges the worlds of athletics and artistic expression like never before.
From the Court to the Canvas

Basketball has always been central to Kiefsix’s identity, but one pivotal moment shaped his artistic breakthrough—Mamba Week 2020. His tribute illustration to Kobe Bryant became a defining piece in his portfolio, marking the moment he found his true creative voice.
That piece wasn’t just an artwork; it was a statement—a bold homage to the Mamba Mentality and a testament to how basketball fuels his vision. Since then, he has continued to elevate the sport through his art, ensuring that every piece he creates captures the essence of competition, culture, and identity.
The Birth of BLANK-SIX
Before collaborating with global brands, Kiefsix laid the foundation for his creative empire with BLANK-SIX. Launched in 2019, the streetwear brand became his first major venture, serving as a platform to merge basketball, fashion, and urban culture.
More than just a clothing line, BLANK-SIX embodied a movement, fostering a community where art, self-expression, and sports collided.
Through BLANK-SIX, Kiefsix refined his artistic identity, using apparel as a canvas for bold, dynamic storytelling.
His designs captured the gritty intensity of street basketball, the aesthetics of contemporary fashion, and the pulse of Filipino creativity, setting the stage for his future collaborations with Nike, Hennessy, and other global brands.
Game-Changing Collaborations
His unique fusion of sports, culture, and design has led to major collaborations, reinforcing his status as a creative force in the industry.
In August 2023, he teamed up with Nike for the FIBA Basketball World Cup, designing The Courtyard, a 2,182-square-meter basketball facility in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig.

The project featured two full-sized FIBA-standard courts and a half-court, all built using Nike Grind rubber from approximately 30,000 repurposed shoes. His vibrant designs, influenced by Filipino aesthetics and basketball culture, transformed the space into a testament to the country’s deep love for the game.
In June 2024, Kiefsix joined Hennessy’s “In The Paint” initiative, a global project revitalizing basketball courts through art.
His work, “Motions of Emotions,” reimagined the CCP Bukaneg basketball court in Manila, weaving together modernized Maranao patterns, Tausug textile motifs, Igorot geometrics, and Dinagyang Festival designs. This piece celebrated Filipino heritage while embracing the universal energy of the sport.
His growing portfolio also includes collaborations with the NBA, WUBS, and Rakuten, proving his ability to bridge fine art, street culture, and the ever-evolving world of sports.
Advice for Aspiring Creatives
For anyone trying to break into the creative world, Kiefsix has one core belief—bet on yourself.
He believes that success starts with understanding the culture you’re part of, studying those who have paved the way, and finding inspiration without losing your own voice. Trends come and go, but authenticity is what leaves a lasting impact. There’s no set formula—just you, your story, and the willingness to take risks.
“The world won’t always make room for you—so take up space, make your mark, and if you have to, do it scared.” (Kiefsix, 2024, as cited in SNKRDUNK Magazine, 2024)
What’s Next for Kiefsix?
Kiefsix continues to push his creative vision forward. His latest project—a mural collaboration with SM City East Ortigas and National University (NU)—aims to turn public space into a bold, cultural landmark. At its center is “Eyo,” a character symbolizing youth, energy, and new beginnings, a reflection of his ever-evolving artistry.
As his career grows, one thing remains clear—Kiefsix isn’t just illustrating basketball. He’s shaping its culture, one masterpiece at a time.
