A Singaporean gamer has gone viral after convincing his wife to sign a hilarious agreement granting him uninterrupted gaming time ahead of the highly anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto 6.
Gaming creator JulianTechTM, known as @juliantaytm on Threads, shared photos and a video of his wife signing a printed “GTA VI Gaming Agreement,” attracting approximately one million views.
“I love my wife. Thank you so much,” Julian wrote, celebrating his wife’s playful approval.
The five-part agreement allows him to play GTA VI as much as he wants for 10 days from Nov. 19 to 29, with strict rules prohibiting interruptions during missions
It also grants him recovery time after losing, temporarily bans complaints like “It’s just a game,” and requires household requests to wait until convenient moments.
One particularly amusing clause asks his wife to acknowledge that everything happening inside the game is fictional, including visits to virtual strip clubs.
Julian explained that he customized an existing online contract template to make the agreement funnier.
While the post amused gamers, some commenters questioned the arrangement, prompting Julian to clarify that both spouses were enjoying the joke.
“It’s meant to be a lighthearted joke between my wife and me, not something to be taken seriously. There are no actual penalties or consequences, and we both know it’s just for fun,” he explained.
Similar novelty contracts circulated online as early as July, with other couples humorously negotiating gaming privileges ahead of GTA VI’s release.
The growing trend reflects the extraordinary anticipation surrounding Rockstar Games‘ upcoming blockbuster, widely expected to become one of the biggest entertainment launches in gaming history.
Scheduled for Nov. 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, GTA VI arrives 13 years after Grand Theft Auto V, which has sold approximately 230 million copies worldwide.
With millions awaiting the franchise’s return to Vice City, some fans are already preparing their gaming schedules months in advance, even getting their spouses to sign off on the excitement.
